Focht, 59, who died Friday morning at his home in Villisca The body was taken to the Wolfe & Gourley Mortuary. The Rev. Ernest M. Buehler was in charge of the final rites and burial was made in the Villisca Cemetery. Miss Sylvia Enarso and Mrs. Adia Moates were in charge of flowers. Roscoe Jay Focht, died at his home at 3:00 Friday morning at the age of 59 years and 26 days. He had been in failing health for the last 3 years, his last illness being of only a few days. He was born near Grant, September 24, 1880, the son of Percifer Smith Focht and Harriet E. Moates.He was united in marriage to Blanche Copelin, December 12, 1912 A son Clark preceded his father in death in August 1919. While he had been unable to be active his first thoughts were of his home and family, As long as his health would permit, he attended the Methodist Church and Sunday school of which he was a member. He was engaged in farming near Villisca until f few years ago. Besides his wife, he leaves the following children, Irene, Junior, Laura, Stanley, Robert and Duane all at home; his mother, Mrs. P. S. Focht; two brothers, Lester and Lawrence and three sisters, Mrs. Golda Stewart, Mrs. Elmo Lehman of Carroll, Iowa, and Mrs. Louise Windom of Nodaway.
