Description	:	Rose Alexander, daughter of Fred and Elzira Bedwell Alexander, was born January 13, 1869, in Greenfield township, Warren county, Iowa, and departed this life, April 16, 1937, at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 3 days. On November 23, 1887, she was united in marriage to S.C. Hildebrand. They would have celebrated this 50th wedding anniversary on November 23 of this year. Read More	Rose Alexander, daughter of Fred and Elzira Bedwell Alexander, was born January 13, 1869, in Greenfield township, Warren county, Iowa, and departed this life, April 16, 1937, at the age of 68 years, 3 months and 3 days. On November 23, 1887, she was united in marriage to S.C. Hildebrand. They would have celebrated this 50th wedding anniversary on November 23 of this year. To this union was born one daughter, Mrs. Cretia Hoover. On March 5, 1905, they took her nephew, Eugene Alexander, a 3-day old babe to raise, to whom she was a mother in the truest sense of the word. Mrs. Hildebrand spent her entire life in Warren county. She, with her husband, united with the Methodist Episcopal church of Spring Hill more than 42 years ago, taking an active part in missionary work. She had been in failing health for a few years, but was not bedfast until Thursday, April 15, when she suffered a heart attack. She passed away early Friday morning at her home near Norwalk, where she had lived for 41 years. Her life was lived for others. Every thought and motive was for the welfare of those dear to her. She will be greatly missed in the home circle but the memory of her beautiful life will live. She leave to mourn her passing her husband, S.C. Hildebrand; her daughter, Mrs. George Hoover; her nephew, Eugene Alexander of Minburn; 5 grandchildren, Merlie Hoover Glascock, Doniven Hoover, and Ivyl Hoover of Des Moines, and Dorothy Mae and Beverly Ann Alexander of Minburn, Iowa, sister, Mrs. Euphemia Peverly of West Plains, Colo; Mrs. A. P. Stephens of Walnut, Kans., and Mrs. Hubert Utterback of Des Moines; 6 brothers, B.B. Alexander of Geneseo, Kans.; L.P. Alexander of Laurens; Evert Alexander of Axtel, Kans., ; L.I. Alexander of Prole, and Oren and Fred of near Spring Hill, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 18, at 2:30 at the home and at 3 p.m. at the Spring Hill Methodist church. The Rev. James Walls, former pastor of the church, was in charge. He was assisted by the present minister, the Rev. Paul Habliston. Interment was in the family lot in the Webb cemetery. Music consisted of a solo, "O Love That Wilt Not Let me Go,' by Roscoe Hunget, and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere," by Mr. Hunget, Miss Jeanette Hunget, Mrs. A.P. Brand, Miss Eleanor Lockwood and the Rev. Paul Habliston. Miss Mary Jean Brand played the accompaniment. Pall bearers were Walter Woodyard, Lonie Konglin, Floyd Bishop, Harold Pool, Henry Hoover and Earl Pool, all close neighbors and friends.
