December 14, 1911, Kearney Daily Hub, page 3 John Sheckler and Rose Hadwiger Sheckler were married December 14, 1911 in Kearney. Rose was the daughter of Joseph and Tracy Kirschner Hadwiger. Rose, 87, died Friday at the Good Samaritan Hospital where she had been a patient for five weeks. She was born at Pleasanton and had been a lifetime resident of the Pleasanton area. Surviving relatives include two daughters, Harriet Phillips of Pleasanton and Marsella Ewer of North Platte; and a grandson Robert Ewer, also of North Platte. Rose was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter; her husband John in 1964; and three brothers, Adolph, Rudolph, and John; and one sister, Ida. Pallbearers were Darold Dauel, Leon Nickman, Billy Phillips, Norman Hand, Dean Hadwiger, and Vernon Unick. Services were held at the United Methodist Church in Pleasanton with the Rev. Thomas Yackley officiating. Burial was in the Pleasanton Cemetery.
