Born in Baltimore, Md. the daughter of the late George Edward Berneburg and Catherine Cecilia (King). She was owner of Oak Park Lanes from 1962 until her retirement in 2001. On July 11, 1944, she married Frederick "Fritz" Olinger. She was a member of St. Robert's Catholic Church, North Manchester, Ind. She was also an active member of the Garber-Simmons Senior Center and a member of the Right to Life Society, Huntington, Ind. Surviving are her sons, Noel Olinger of Cortland, Ohio, Frederick Olinger of National City, Calif., John Olinger of South Whitley, Timothy Olinger of Fort Wayne and Tony Olinger of Geneva, Ill; daughters, Mrs. Jerry (Mary) Carter of Carmel, Ind., Mrs. Dean (Julie) Wendel of South Whitley and Clare (Doug) Dials of Milford, Ind.;17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Olinger on Jan. 16, 1993; son, Christopher Olinger; and one grandchild. Mass of Christian Burial is 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Robert's Catholic Church, North Manchester. Father Ronald Ramenaden officiating. Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the church. Burial in Oaklawn Cemetery, North Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to St. Peter's Church, Hollin's St., Baltimore, Md. or masses may be given to St. Robert's Catholic Church, 1203 State Rd., 114 E.
