Miller who died Thursday, Dec. 7, 2006 at the Avera McKennan Hospice Unit following a long illness. She attained the age of 70 years, one month and eleven days. She attained the age of 70 years, one month and eleven days. Rosella Joyce Nordman was born Oct. 26, 1936 at Lennox, the daughter of Harm and Pauline (Ysbrand) Nordman. She grew up and attended school here graduating from Lennox High School. In January of 1954 she married Norman Miller at Parker, SD. The couple lived in various places while Norman completed his service in the U.S. Air Force. The couple then settled in Lennox to raise their two daughters. Norman died at age 32 on June 5, 1964. Rosella worked in the dietary department for Bethany Lutheran Home in Sioux Falls, SD. She became the dietary supervisor in a career that lasted 28 years at Bethany. Rosella loved to cook and bake for her family. She also enjoyed reading. Besides her parents and husband, Rosella was preceded in death by an infant sister, Geraldine in 1933; three brothers: Ronald Nordman in 1992, Leland "Joe" Nordman in 1996 and Roger Nordman in 2002 and her daughter Bonnie Lorentzan on Feb. 21, 2006. Grateful for having shared her life is her daughter, Monica Degen and her friend, Mike Davis, of Mitchell; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers: Kenneth (Loretta) Nordman, Lennox and Harley (Diane) Nordmann, Chancellor; sister-in-law, Marlene Nordman, Tea as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
