Description	:	Rosella Marie Eckelberg, 96, of Muscatine, Iowa, formerly of Batavia, Iowa, died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Muscatine.Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Fairfield, Iowa, with Father Charles Flagdung and Father Clarence Beckley officiating. She grew up in the Maquoketa area.Rosella married Cyril F. Eckelberg on March 29, 1937, at the Sacred Heart Church in Maquoketa, Iowa. They lived in the Batavia community from 1958 until 1985, when they moved to Muscatine.Rosella was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.She took care of the elderly for over 20 years, enjoyed neighboring and babysitting. She was very involved in her church's activities, and collecting antiques and holding and going to yard sales through the years.Surviving are her children, Cecilia Ann Eckelberg White, of Palyra, Mo., Cyril J. Eckelberg, of Clinton, Mary Ellen Eckelberg, of Clinton, and Bernadette Eckelberg, of Muscatine; two grandsons, William Cyril Eckelberg, of Clinton, and Jessie White, of Palmyra, Mo.; one granddaughter, Ann Marie, and husband, Charles Salyer, of Palmyra, Mo.; one great-grandson, Charles Evan Salyer, Jr. the 4th; and a sister, Irene Rose, of Maquoketa.Deceased family members include her husband on December 17, 1996, an infant daughter, Eunice Irene Eckelberg, and son, John William Eckelberg.
