She was born in Ellensburg on November 28, 1914, one of 13 children of John and Mary Etta (Jessop) Dorsey. She attended Lourdes Academy and graduated from Ellensburg High School. She and Hugh Morgan were married in 1943 and together they were involved in the operation of his family's business, Morgan's Department Store on North Pearl Street, which later became Berry's. She was born in Ellensburg on November 28, 1914, one of 13 children of John and Mary Etta (Jessop) Dorsey. She attended Lourdes Academy and graduated from Ellensburg High School. She and Hugh Morgan were married in 1943 and together they were involved in the operation of his family's business, Morgan's Department Store on North Pearl Street, which later became Berry's. Their involvement in the local business community continued when they bought the U-Totem restaurant on Euclid Way in 1955. When family members assumed operation of that business in 1962, they established Morgan's U-Totem (now Rossow's) on Cascade Way, which they operated until another family transition in 1965 when they became owners of the Shady Brook Trailer Court. Retiring in the mid 1970s, they moved to the present family home on East Cherry Lane. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hugh; a daughter, Joan (Worgum) Pinter; and 11 siblings including brothers Bob, Pat and Paul Dorsey, all of Ellensburg. She is survived by three daughters; Dixie Adams, Jackie (Dick) Rossow and Kay (Jim) Norman and a sister-in-law, Isophine "Tommie" Dorsey all of Ellensburg; a sister, Katie Arnold of Arizona; 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Scripture Service will be at 7 p.m., December 28, 2001 at the St. Andrews Catholic Church, Ellensburg. Memorial Mass will be at 11 a.m., December 29, also at St. Andrews Catholic Church, with a reception following. Inurnment will be in the family plot at Holy Cross Cemetery at a later time.
