LAWSON was born Nov. 5, 1902 on a farm near Libertyville, the son of Alfred and Catherine (sic. Catharine) BONNETT LAWSON. He graduated from Fairfield High School in 1922 and from Parsons College in 1926. He was married to Louise SIMPSON on Aug. 17, 1928. He coached and taught at Atlantic High School for three years and at Abraham Lincoln High School in Council Bluffs for 41 years. LAWSON was a Mason, a member of the Lions Club and United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Louise; one son, Jerry LAWSON, Phoenix, Ariz.; and five grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, L. Faye LAWSON and Nina TUCKER, both of Fairfield. He was preceded in death by one son and two sisters. The LAWSON home is at 38 Dillman Drive, Apt. E-1, Council Bluffs, Iowa 51501.
