Funeral services were held on Sat., Sept. 19 at the Benton Funeral Home at 2 p.m., Pastor Lizbeth Linley officiating. Roy was given full Masonic services and burial rites by Masonic Lodge No. 25. Burial was made in Riverview Cemetery. He was born in Big Sandy, Mont., in 1913, to John and Jennie Kundson and lived there until 1926 when the family moved to Shonkin due to drought and grasshoppers. He attended Black Butte country school and Fort Benton High School. In 1934 Roy married Leone (Toni) Davison and moved to the Highwood north bench area where he farmed until his stroke in 1974. He then retired to Highwood town where he has since resided. Roy was a member of the Highwood Methodist Church, Commercial Club, Masonic Lodge No. 25, Bethany Chapter of the Eastern Star in Fort Benton, of which he was Past Patron, Scottish Rites and the Algeria Shrine Club in Great Falls. Roy served on the Highwood school board and worked with the Boy Scouts. He was community minded and enjoyed all sports, especially camping, hunting and fishing with his family. He leaves to mourn him his wife, Toni; three sons, Gary and Russ Knudson of Highwood, and Ken of Great Falls; two daughters, Kay Duvall of Geraldine and Peggy Booth of Highwood; three brothers, Charles Knudson of Great Falls, Harold Knudson of Billings and Donald Knudson of Shonkin. A sister, Mildred Bley Wenzek, and his parents preceded him in death. He leaves 13 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
