Description	:	Ruby A. Moorhead, 89, of Muscatine, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2009 at Carrington Place. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 1:30 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Casketbearers will be Ed Behnke, Ed Voss, Clifford Burr, Ed Schultz and James O'Halloran Burial will be in Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery. Ruby was born on August 20, 1919, in Muscatine, the daughter of Edward H. and Emma M. Schroeder Martz. On May 19, 1939, Ruby was united in marriage to Gordon E. Moorhead in Muscatine. She had taught rural school in Muscatine County for seven years and later retired as a secretary from S/M Service Company in Walcott. She was a 50 year plus member of Sweetland United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, crocheting and spending time with friends and family, especially her great grandson, Riley. Ruby will be deeply missed by her daughter; Tamara Korthaus of Muscatine, two grandsons; Tony Korthaus and his wife, Amy of Eden Prairie, Minnesota and Todd Korthaus and his wife, Tara and great grandson, Riley of Fruitland. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1993, one son, Terry Moorhead, one great grandson, Thomas Joseph Korthaus and her son-in-law, Tom Korthaus Lewis Funeral Homes
