The funeral service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Christian Church, with the Rev. Mark Strickland, the Rev. Ken Huggins and the Rev. Thurman Williams officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. She was a Randolph County native, retired from Acme-McCrary Corp., a 50-year member of Woodmen of the World and a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a member of the Ladies Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clark and Nannie Mae Pritchard; her husband, Thomas Grady Oates; and also by her brothers, James Pritchard, Lawton Pritchard; and by her sister, Hazel Edwards. Survivors are brother, Jack Pritchard of Bennett; sister, Lois Byrd of Asheboro; and also by several nieces and nephews that she dearly loved. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at Loflin Funeral Home in Ramseur, other times at the residence. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove Christian Church, 5946 Pleasant Grove Church Road, Bennett, N.C. 27208; Hospice of Randolph, P.O.
