Mrs. Norris, a lifelong Lawrence resident, died Monday, March 7, 1994, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. She was born July 17, 1923, in Lawrence, the daughter of Ira and Minnie Leffert Cripe. She was a homemaker and worked three years for the Department of Social and Rehabilitation Services. She had been an instructor and teacher aid for the Follow Through Program for children. She was a member of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints in Lawrence. She was active in Cub Scouts of America and worked with the Skylark's Group for girls at church. She also was a Sunday school teacher. Mrs. Norris was a leader of Lucky Leaf 4-H Club, committee member of Lawrence Troop No. 62 of the Boy Scouts of America. She was active in the PTA at Woodlawn School. She married Donald Norris on July 20, 1941, in Lawrence. He survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Pamela Sarlis, Eudora, and Nikola Osburn, Lawrence; two sons, Ronald Norris and Kenneth Norris, both of Lawrence; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
