Description	:	Ruth Helen Gibson of Ballard, formerly of Issaquah, has died. She was 88. Mrs. Gibson lived in Seattle, on Orcas Island, in Norway and in New York state before she and her mother and brother settled in Seattle in the early 1920s. She grew up in Seattle where she attended Daniel Bagley Grade School and later graduated from Lincoln High School in 1934. She married Warren E. Read More	Ruth Helen Gibson of Ballard, formerly of Issaquah, has died. She was 88. Mrs. Gibson lived in Seattle, on Orcas Island, in Norway and in New York state before she and her mother and brother settled in Seattle in the early 1920s. She grew up in Seattle where she attended Daniel Bagley Grade School and later graduated from Lincoln High School in 1934. She married Warren E. Gibson, a member of Issaquah's Gibson pioneer family, on Oct. 9, 1937. They settled in Ballard where they lived in the same home for 63 years. Following her husband's death in 2003, she moved to Issaquah for a short time to be with a daughter. In 2004 she moved back to Ballard to be with her other daughter. Mrs. Gibson was a member of the Salmon Bay Eagles 2141 and Women's Auxiliary. She enjoyed family picnics at Gibson Park in Issaquah and doting on her family. Always positive, the word ``no'' was not in her vocabulary. ``Oh yeah'' and ``we'll see'' were her expressions of choice. She is remembered as a loving person who had a warm smile and gentle disposition. Survivors include her daughters, Diane Zeger of Ballard and Glenna Gibson of Issaquah; three grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. A graveside service was at 11 a.m. Thursday at Lower Hillside Cemetery in Issaquah. Remembrances may be made to The Issaquah Historical Society or the Union Gospel Mission Eastside Journal (Apr/28/2005)
