Some previous research about Ruth thought or speculated that she was evidently married, at some point, to a "McGrew", but her brief Fairfield Daily Ledger obituary listed her, perhaps in error, as "Miss Ruth McGrew". A WPA listing finds her listed in Mount Moriah cemetery as "Ruth N. McGrew" - hence the middle initial "N." used on this memorial. A death record listing found online attributes her death in Mount Pleasant, but the online listing has her birthdate as being July 15, 1885 (which may have been sourced from the death record, which may have been in error as it also listed the age at death as being 41y 6m 22d, which would be a DOB March 15, 1895). It appears from census and other sources that she was actually born in 1895. It isn't known to this contributor if the death record was recorded in error or if the online transcription of it was recorded in error.
