Description	:	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 9 May 1973 Sadie Embleton Dies at Hospital Friday Mrs. Sadie Irene Embleton, 88, a resident of Chouteau county for 65 years, passed away Friday, May 4, 1973, at the St. Clare hospital after a lingering illness. Sadie Birmingham was born in Hammond, Wisconsin, Feb. 22, 1885, and came to Montana from Wisconsin in 1908, to establish the millinery department at the T. C. Power and Bro. store in Fort Benton, now the Pioneer Mercantile. She was employed by that firm for ten years... Read More	The following provided by Find A Grave contributor "Cara": The River Press, Fort Benton, Mont., 9 May 1973 Sadie Embleton Dies at Hospital Friday Mrs. Sadie Irene Embleton, 88, a resident of Chouteau county for 65 years, passed away Friday, May 4, 1973, at the St. Clare hospital after a lingering illness. Sadie Birmingham was born in Hammond, Wisconsin, Feb. 22, 1885, and came to Montana from Wisconsin in 1908, to establish the millinery department at the T. C. Power and Bro. store in Fort Benton, now the Pioneer Mercantile. She was employed by that firm for ten years prior to her marriage to Gilbert R. Embleton Oct. 23, 1917, at Hammond. Together they established the family home, the Green Roof ranch near the bridge of that name, on the Teton near Fort Benton. Mr. Embleton preceded her in death in 1945. Mrs. Embleton then moved to Fort Benton, her home until her death. She leaves to mourn her passing four children, Mrs. Dorothy Gallup, Bozeman, Mrs. Mary Briese, Loma, William R. Embleton of Fort Benton, and Mrs. Frances Baack of Fort Benton and 12 grandchildren. Three sisters also survive her, Mary Casey, Frances Reardon, and Bess Petch, all of St. Paul; a brother, James, preceded her in death. Rosary was Sunday evening and Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. Monday morning in Immaculate Conception Catholic church. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
