Sadie was born on February 13, 1919, in Foster County, North Dakota, the daughter of John and Maggie McCullough. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Q. Read More	OBIT: Sadie Margaret McCullough Riegel, 93, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2012, at Royal Vista Nursing and Rehab in Ellensburg, Washington. Sadie was born on February 13, 1919, in Foster County, North Dakota, the daughter of John and Maggie McCullough. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Q. Riegel, her parents and siblings (three sisters and four brothers). For the last eight years, Sadie resided at Hearthstone Cottage. At the age of 16, Sadie moved to Ellensburg with family members to join her brothers already farming in the Kittitas Valley. She graduated from Ellensburg High School in 1938. Sadie married Ralph Q. Riegel on December 28, 1940, and they celebrated 63 anniversaries. Sadie worked at the County Extension Office and later retired from Puget Sound Power and Light, now Puget Sound Energy, after 27 years of service. Sadie was a member of The First Christian Church serving in many capacities. She was a Noble Grand in the Miriam Rebekah IOOF Lodge. Sadie belonged to a ladies sewing circle; Mother's Club, Scholarship Luncheon group and participated actively in the local square dance club and Camp Fire Girls program. She will be remembered for her thoughtfulness and beautiful gifts of quilting, embroidery and her love of baking. Sadie is survived by her daughters, Linda Sax (Deral) of Redmond, WA and Margo Winegar (Gary) of Ellensburg, five grandchildren, Scott (Allison) Sax, Todd (Laura) Sax, Daron(Julie) Sax, Richelle (Kevin) Winegar-Hidgon and Kori (Vickie) Winegar plus 11 great-grandchildren. Viewing will take place on Tuesday, April 10 at Affordable Funeral Care from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held, Wednesday, April 11 at 1:00 p.m., at the Ellensburg First Christian Church, 600 N Ruby, followed by entombment at the IOOF Cemetery and reception at Hearthstone Cottage in the Garden Room. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The First Christian Church Memorial Fund, Hospice Friends or a in care of Affordable Funeral Care, 101 E 2nd Ave Ellensburg, WA 98926. .
