Description	:	SAMUEL MAINQUIST Samuel Mainquist died Thursday morning, December 6, at 6:30 o'clock at his home at 604 Washington Avenue, his death being caused by pernicious anemia from which he suffered for eight months. He was born in Mejensjö, Jönköping, Sweden on July 29, 1853 and was married to Clara Palmquist in Stanton on March 12, 1875. (Originnaly met on the boat emigrating from Sweden Married by Rev. Mr. Mainquist came to Montgomery County in 1871 and lived near Stanton until 5 years ago when he came with his family to Red Oak. He was a member of the Swedish Mission Church. the funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Swedish Mission Church, Rev. A. M. Bowman conducting the service and the pall bearers will be Arthur Mainquist, Fred Hultman, Claus Hogberg, George Anderson, Chas. Peterson, and Adolph Mainquist. Burial will be in the Mission Cemetery 4 miles northeast of Stanton. He married his first wife in 1875. He died on December 6, 1917, in Red Oak, Iowa, at the age of 64, and was buried in Frankfort, Iowa.
