Samuel Rogers (sic. Rodgers), a well known farmer living a few miles north of this city, died very suddenly Sunday evening between 6 and 7 o'clock while sitting in a chair chatting with a neighbor. He was in the 82nd year of his age, and had been in feeble health for some time. On Sunday he appeared well as usual, and no indication of his sudden taking away was noted until, with scarcely more than a sigh, he breathed his last. His death was caused by an affection of the heart. Mr. Rogers (sic.) was a native of Maryland, and had lived in this county nearly twenty years. His wife survives him. He also leaves three grown children in this county, John Rogers (sic.), Mrs. James Farmer and Mrs. William Wray.
