Description	:	Sandra Lynn Blank Lobsinger, 66, of Llano, N.M., formerly of Emerson, died June 25, 2004, at her daughter's home in Kansas City, Mo. A Celebration of Life service was held June 28, 2004, at the Mansfield-Hertz Funeral Home in Malvern. Pastor Gordon Scott officiated the service. Interment was at the Emerson Cemetery. Mrs. Blank Lobsinger was the daughter of Benjamin Swain and Lauraine Alice(Fickel)Breeding, born Feb. 25, 1938, in Council Bluffs. Mrs. Blank Lobsinger was the daughter of Benjamin Swain and Lauraine Alice(Fickel)Breeding, born Feb. 25, 1938, in Council Bluffs. She grew up in Malvern and graduated from Malvern High School in 1955. She married Dr. Charles J. Blank of Emerson on June 6, 1959, at the Malvern First Baptist Church. They made their home in Emerson and were blessed with five children. Mrs. Blank Lobsinger was active in the community, 4-H and Order of Eastern Star, where she served as Mother Advisor of Rainbow for Girls in Emerson for four years. During her term as Mother Advisor, the Emerson Assembly earned(out off over 400 assemblies)" Assembly of the year in the state of Iowa. In 1980; she received a degree: for respiratory therapy at Metro Tech in Omaha, Neb., and began her work at; St. Joseph Hospital. Later in 1980, the family moved to Boise,Idaho, where her husband had accepted a position in a veterinarian clinic and she continued her career as a respiratory therapist. They divorced in 1982, and both returned to Emerson. She married Jerry Huston of Emerson and continued living in Emerson. She attended the University of Nebraska-Omaha for horticulture. She always had a very green thumb and talent for floral arrangements. Over the years, she established and ran several greenhouse business. Her and her husband were later divorced. She married Clinton Bothwell,and they made their home in Shelby. In 1995, she received certification as a licensed practical nurse from the Harlan campus of Iowa Western Community College. Mr. and Mrs. Bothwell were divorced. In 1996, she married Jerry Lobsinger of Omaha and moved to the Taos, N.M., area, where she continued her career in respiratory therapy. She developed a love for New Mexico and especially the beautiful sunsets. She was diagnosed with cancer in October 1998 and received treatment. During this time, she continued to work, developed a love for rock hunting and earned a degree in fiber arts weaving. She became an avid weaver who raised and sheered her own sheep and spun the wool in yarn. She then hand-dyed and weaved the yarn into many artistic products. Mr. and Mrs. Lobsinger divorced in 2001 and she moved to nearby Llano. In June 2004, she moved to her daughter's home in Kansas City, Mo. Mrs. Blank Lobsinger was a very gifted and creative person. She loved having her kids and grandkids around to make family get togethers (especially holidays) memorable. She loved to cook and spent many hours preparing her wonderful meals that were always eagerly anticipated. Mrs. Blank Lobsinger was preceded in death by her father and first husband. She is survived by children Lisa Darby and husband Mark of Carson, Lesley Blank and granddaughter Camille of Kansas City, Lloyd Blank and wife Connie and grandsons Christopher Viner, Benjamin and Michael of Emerson, Josiah Blank and wife Mickie of Kansas City and Leah Villalpando and husband Andrew and grandchildren Christian Hilgenberg, Isabella, Santos and Catalina of Conrath, Wis.; mother Lauraine Breeding of Malvern; sister Pat Malcom and husband Bob of Malvern; brother Bruce Breeding and wife Debie of Des Moines; nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
