On December 28, 1882, she was married to C.A. Ridenour. Last winter it was their happy privilege to observe thier Golden Wedding Anniversary. Read More	Tipton Advertiser Thursday 12 Oct 1933 pg 4 Sarah Ann Barclay was born November 14, 1858 in the vicinity of Tipton, Iowa and died at her home in Tipton, October 5, 1933, at the age of 74 years, 10 months and 21 days. On December 28, 1882, she was married to C.A. Ridenour. Last winter it was their happy privilege to observe thier Golden Wedding Anniversary. Seven children were born to them: five daughters and two sons. Two daughters preceded her in death. Early in life she united with the Tipton Methodist church. Later she transferred her membership to the St. John's Reformed church where she took an active part in the Missionary and Ladies Aid Societies; serving two years as President of the Aid. For several years she was treasurer of the church. Having lived her entire life in Cedar County, she leaves a host of friends who will long remember her many kind deeds and the true spirit of friendship. She is survived by her husband; three daughters, Ida, at home, Mrs. Guy Wright of Tipton, Mrs. Helen Winslow of Cedar Rapids; two sons, Alvin who is in the Veterans Hospital at Knoxville, Iowa, and Ray of Tipton; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Ridenour of Paton, Iowa; one brother, Frank Barclay of Tipton, seven grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services were held in the St. John's Reformed church, Saturday afternoon, October 7th, at 2:30, the Rev. A.R. Von Gruenigen officiating. Interment was in the Masonic cemetery.
