Married William Milton Copple in 1855 in Missouri. ~~~ Chico Record, Friday Morning, August 15, 1902, pg 4 col 1: Mrs. Sarah Copple Has Passed Beyond. Mrs. Sarah E. Copple died yesterday morning at 1:30 o’clock, her death being the termination of a long illness, due to an ailment of the heart. She had suffered much during the past three years. A few weeks ago she was removed to San Francisco, but physicians held out no hope for her recovery, and she was brought back to her relatives and friends in Chico. Deceased was 65 years of age. For nearly fifteen years she had made Chico her winter home. She was the beloved wife of M.W. Copple, and mother of three children: Wood and Frank Copple, and Mrs. F. Hindman. She was much respected and admired in Chico, where she was quite widely known. The funeral will take place this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the family residence. ~~~ 65-year-old Sarah Ann Delaney Copple was interred, per the Chico Cemetery Association Records, in the plot noted, on August 16, 1902. The funeral of Mrs. Sarah Copple took place yesterday afternoon from the family home, attended by numerous friends and acquaintances. An appropriate sermon was delivered by Rev. Davis of the Baptist Church.
