Read More	Mrs. Casey Heyman Loses Life In Rural Auto Accident Friday Mrs. Casey Heyman was killed instantly and three others were hospitalized as a result of a two-car collision on the graveled road about four miles south of Hull near Gerald Den Herder farm early Friday afternoon. Mrs. Heyman was a passenger in a car driven by her daughter, Mrs. David Broek, and was enroute to the Broek home. Also in the car was four year old Loren Broek. They were traveling south when they collided headon with a car driven by John Wesley Vis, son of Mr; and Mrs. Peter J. Vis of the Boyden area. The injured were taken to the Sioux Center hospital. Mrs. Broek suffered multiple cuts, bruises and abrasions, as well as a fractured heel. She is doing nicely at this time. Her son, Loren, had some head cuts and was dismissed from the hospital on Sunday. John Wesley Vis was under observation for a time but was dismissed Monday morning from the hospital. He is getting along well, although quite stiff yet. Both cars were damaged beyond repair. This was the tenth fatality on Sioux county roads this year. Funeral services for Mrs. Casey Heyman were held Tuesday from the home and the First Reformed church with the Rev. H. C. Ringenoldus officiating. Nephews were pallbearers. Mrs. Heyman was formerly Sarah Douma, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jelle Douma. She had attained the age of 54 years. She leaves to mourn, her husband; one daughter, Thelma, Mrs. David Broek of Hull; one son Howard, of Alton; five grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters, John Douma of Hull; Hattie, Mrs. Otto De Jong of Orange City; Jake Douma of Le Mars; Sena, Mrs. L.T. Brunsting of Hull; Oscar Douma of Hull; and Tracy Douma of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Sioux County Index 1956-11-22.
