She was born May 4, 1931, in Farmer, WA to Henry and Bessie Whitehall. She was the fourth of five children. She attended a school house in Farmer during her elementary and middle school years. She attended Mansfield High School and was a cheerleader for the "Kernels." Her family moved to Leahy Junction, where she met and married Terry Hayes. Read More	Sherry Lee Richardson Ephrata, WA Sherry Lee Richardson passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Thursday, November 10, 2011, at Central Washington Hospital in Wenatchee. She was born May 4, 1931, in Farmer, WA to Henry and Bessie Whitehall. She was the fourth of five children. She attended a school house in Farmer during her elementary and middle school years. She attended Mansfield High School and was a cheerleader for the "Kernels." Her family moved to Leahy Junction, where she met and married Terry Hayes. They were married for 32 years and raised six children on a wheat and cattle ranch near Leahy. Sherry worked as a meat wrapper at the Polka Dot grocery store in Bridgeport for several years. In 1972, the family moved to Bridgeport. Sherry later became an EMT with the Brewster Ambulance service. She attended Wenatchee Valley College and worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the emergency room at Brewster Hospital. Sherry remarried in 1983 to Al Richardson. She and Al later moved to Wenatchee, where Sherry completed her RN degree. She then served as an RN IV Therapist at Central Washington Hospital. They moved to Ephrata in 1996, where Sherry retired from nursing to enjoy her children, grandchildren, gardening and reading. She loved her dog, Susie, who was her constant companion. Sherry is survived by her husband, Al Richardson of Ephrata, WA; her children, Theresa Harrison and husband, Larry of Rancho Murieta, CA, Beverly Russell and husband, Dick of Ephrata, Pat Hayes of Twisp, Sandie Hayes of Anchorage, AK, Jacque Hayes Haggerty and husband, Mick of Portland, OR and Sean Hayes and wife, Raenae of East Wenatchee; her stepchildren, Jim Richardson of Seattle, Rick Richardson of Salem, OR, Michelle Soul of Seattle and Russell Richardson of Centralia; her brother, Forrest Whitehall of Wenatchee; 16 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Evelyn; and two brothers, Blaine and Kenneth. Graveside Service will be held at the Bridgeport Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2011, with a Reception to follow. Arrangements by Barnes Chapel, Brewster.
