She graduated from Leavenworth High School in 1949. Mrs. Gross attended Kansas University. She was employed by George Noland Insurance Agency and KU. She served as financial secretary for First Presbyterian Church until 1998 when she retired. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. She married LeRoy G. Gross on May 11, 1951, in Lawrence. He survives, of the home. Other survivors include a daughter, Leann S. Gross, Lawrence. A daughter, Sharon A. Gross, died Oct. 28, 2003. Family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care in Douglas County, basic cancer research and Lawrence Humane Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
