Observation: the 1920 and 1930 U.S. Census's use "Silva" for the first name. That may well have been her given name. It should be considered that she entered the Nelson Nursing Home in 1958 and was a resident there until her death in 1967. The nursing staff may have often used "Silvia" in place of "Silva" in addressing her, and that name change morphed into common use by the time of her death. It is likely that the headstone "Silva" reflects her true given name, while the submitted obituary used "Silvia". ------ Fairfield Ia. She had been a resident of the home since Feb. 11, 1958. Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of the Rev. James W. Dendler. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Mrs. RAIBLE was born March 7, 1876 (sic), the daughter of Peter and Philomene MARRIES (a/k/a Maries) BRUEY. Most of her life was spent in Fairfield. she was married to Fred RAIBLE in 1902, a merchant here for many years who died March 6, 1941. Surviving are one sister, Mrs. Margaret CRAWFORD, Stockport. Two brothers and one sister are deceased. Mrs. RAIBLE was a member of the First Methodist Church.
