Description	:	Big Timber Pioneer, April 22, 1992 Stanley K. Stenberg, 57, passed away Friday in Livingston Memorial Hospital. He was born on the family Yellowstone ranch on August 19, 1934, the son of Sven and Oiufine Stenberg. He attended school in big Timber, graduating from Sweet Grass County High School. On May 12, 1956, he married Ann Frey in Absarokee. Stanley ranched for many years. He was born on the family Yellowstone ranch on August 19, 1934, the son of Sven and Oiufine Stenberg. He attended school in big Timber, graduating from Sweet Grass County High School. On May 12, 1956, he married Ann Frey in Absarokee. Stanley ranched for many years. He later became a hay contractor and then purchased a backhoe and from there, his contracting business began to grow. In 1973 he moved to Otter Creek. In 1986 he started Stenberg Plumbing Supply and in 1987 he retired. Standley was an avid fisherman and an expert marksman. He belonged to the Big Timber Rifle Club and the Loyal Order of the Moose. He is survived by three daughters; Cheryl McCauley of Helena, Melanie of Thousand Oaks, California, and Anita of Big Timber; four sons, Terry of Livingston, Lyle, Ray, and Mike all of Big Timber; a sister, Gladys Stephens and a brother, Otto, both of Big Timber; 9 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held on Monday, April 20 from the Lowry Funeral Home with the Reverend James Holmlund officiating. Music was provided by organist Debbie Hedrick and singers Ron and Charles Hendricks. Selections were, "The Old Rugged Cross," and "How Great Thou Art". Casket bearers were Marvin, Jim and Mark Stephens, Bill Kirchner, Jim Fellows, and Kenneth Thompson. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery. Contributor: Julia Kinsey (48922386) •
