Description	:	Steven Andrew Arnott of Nodaway died Saturday afternoon at his home there after fourteen weeks of illness, during which time he was confined to his bed. Hid death was the result of old age complications. He was 72 years old. Mr. Arnott, oldest son of Wash and Sarah Arnott was born September 20, 1864 near Greenfield, Ohio and on March 20, 1890, he was united in marriage to Eliza Free to whom was born one child, Goldie. Mrs. Arnot died October 6, 1900. On January 3, 1903, Mr. Arnott married Clara Austin in Hillsboro, Ohio. A year later they moved to Nodaway which was their home during the remainder of their lives. Since the date of Mrs. Arnott on February 6, 1934, Mr. Arnott made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Henry Hedstrom. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Nodaway for many years. He leaves his daughter, Mrs. Hedstrom, one sister, Mrs. Louie Dwyer of Bainbridge, Ohio and two brothers, Frank of Nodaway and Bert of Dover, Oklahoma. Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at the home in Nodaway conducted by Rev. D. A. Zook, pastor of the Methodist Church there. After the services the body, which had been brought to the Wolfe Funeral Chapel Saturday evening, was brought again to Villisca to the Wolfe Funeral Home until that evening at 8 p.m. when burial was made in the Norway Cemetery. Burial in the afternoon after the funeral service was postponed until evening because one brother Bert Arnott of Dover, Oklahoma could not arrive here until Monday evening on Train No. 2 Another short funeral service was held at the time of the burial.
