Stuart was born May 10, 1914, at Fairmont, the son of George and Mabel (Shore) Schepers. He received his education in Fairmont and graduated in 1932. On Feb. 18, 1945, he married Adelia Meyer at Hebron. They lived in Geneva where Stuart owned and operated Quality Market, a grocery and meat market from 1934 until 1947, when they moved to a farm at Shelton. In 1976, he retired from farming and moved into Shelton. He enjoyed fishing, bird watching and cribbage. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Shelton. He is survived by his wife, Adelia of Shelton; two sons, James and wife, Marilyn of Lincoln and Kenneth and wife, Lily of Centerville, Ohio; three daughters, Mrs. Ron (Kendra) Vance of Lincoln, Mrs. Robert (Stephanie Suzanne) Nielsen of West Lafayette, Ind., Mrs. Lloyd (Mary Jean) Tracy of Bradshaw; and 16 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one brother, Francis. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 31, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Shelton with the Rev. Timothy Parker officiating.
