She joined one sister Elizabeth Mae Gittins Tipton (01/23/1884-01/03/1971) the family moved into Williamsburg when Susan was 8 years of age. In 1894 the family built the house at the end of 207 East Maple Street known as the Gittins Jones house. She married at that house William Henry (Hy) Jones (aka Billy Doc) on June 20, 1906.
