She departed from this life at Stratford, Iowa, March 6th, 1907, aged 84 years, 5 months and 29 days. She was united in marriage to David L. Hook at Columbus, Indiana, November 14th, 1844, and with him came to Hamilton county, Iowa in 1856. She was united with the M.E. church at Harmony center about 40 years ago. Later when the Harmony center class was united with the Stratford class she became the member of Stratford M.E. church and has ever lived a consistent christian... Read More	Stratford Courier March 14, 1907 Obituary Hook Susan Maria Robertson was born in Bartholomew county, Indiana, September 7th, 1822. She departed from this life at Stratford, Iowa, March 6th, 1907, aged 84 years, 5 months and 29 days. She was united in marriage to David L. Hook at Columbus, Indiana, November 14th, 1844, and with him came to Hamilton county, Iowa in 1856. She was united with the M.E. church at Harmony center about 40 years ago. Later when the Harmony center class was united with the Stratford class she became the member of Stratford M.E. church and has ever lived a consistent christian life. She leaves besides husband, two sons and two daughters to mourn her loss, besides thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, one son and one daughter having preceded her to the heavenly home. She has ever been a kind neighbor, a faithful, loving wife and devoted mother. Her home was her earthly kingdom. She has been sufferer at intervals for many years. Her last illness keeping her confined to her bed for a number of months. She passed away in a firm, abiding faith peacefully asleep in the arms of Jesus. Card of Thanks.
