Description	:	Lena K. Zeman, 92, Pocahontas, died Thursday, April 21, 1994. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 25, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Pocahontas, with Rev. Milton Jensen officiating. Burial was in Summit Hill Cemetery, Pocahontas. Survivors include two daughters, three sons, 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren, a sister, and many nieces and nephews. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, husband Will, sons Harold, Robert and Clarence, four grandsons, one great-granddaughter, two brothers and two sisters. Talina Katharina Wiese was born July 11, 1901, at Blanden. She was the daughter of Heie and Jantje (Peters) Wiese. She attended country schools in the Blanden and Pocahontas area. On Sept. 21, 1921, Lena married Will Zeman at her parents' home south of Pocahontas. The couple farmed in the Pocahontas area until 1957 when the moved into Pocahontas. Will died in August of 1961. Lena did house keeping, worked at the Ideal Cafe, and she did janitorial work at the St. Peter Lutheran Church. In 1993, she entered the Pocahontas Manor Care Center. Lena was a member of the St. Peter Lutheran Church and ELCWA. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and visits from family and friends. [From the April 26, 1994, Pocahontas (iowa) Record Democrat, page 7.
