Clergyman was Rev. Eldon Fruehling, assisted by Rev. F.O. Bunge. Burial was in the church cemetery under the direction of Mauer's funeral home. She came to Grant Township, Plymouth County, in 1885 and lived there until 1946 when she became ill. Her marriage to H. John Mammen took place Mar. 88, 1900, at the Preston township Lutheran church. He died July, 1936. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Hanna) Tucker of Sioux City and Mrs. H.H. (Clara) Ludwigs of Brunsville; a son, John Mammen of Le Mars; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Dick Kruse of Le Mars; and two sisters, Mrs. George Popken of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Anna Frerichs of Craig. Preceding her in death, besides her husband, were her parents; two brothers, John and Harm; and a sister, Clara.
