He was born February 5, 1949 at home in Jeffrey to the late William "Bill" and Nina Nelson Ball of Jeffrey. Read More	Terry Dean Ball, 63, of Jeffrey passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 4:15 p.m. with his family and friends. He was born February 5, 1949 at home in Jeffrey to the late William "Bill" and Nina Nelson Ball of Jeffrey. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy Dewayne Nelson and Charles Vernon Ball; sisters, Glema Faye Thompson, Lois Ball Mullins and Gloria Jean Sansom. Terry started out his young life at the age of 16 working in Cleveland, Ohio at various factories and by the age of 19 was back in West Virginia. He took his first job with Westmoreland Coal Company at Clothier, WV. Terry spent 21 ¾ years with the mines which included Long Branch Energy. He was also a member of the UMWA District 17 Local #9735. In December 1970 Terry married the love of his life, Brenda Akers. They shared two sons together, Michael Edward and Billy Dean Ball and built their home in Jeffey, WV where they reside. Terry attended several churches in the area and was a helper for a dearly beloved friend, Pastor Pete Jarrell of the Jeffrey Church of God of which the two men and others practically rebuilt the church. Terry loved helping Mr. Pete with the church. Terry was converted on April 22, 2012 and was baptized at his home. Terry enjoyed the outdoors on his four wheelers with his family and friends. He enjoyed his grandchildren dearly and would attend their outings as often as he could. Terry liked carpentry and built his own home that the family shared on the hill of Jeffrey. He had many friends, co-workers and family. Survivors include his beloved wife, Brenda S. Akers Ball of Jeffrey; his sons, Richard Eldridge and wife, Kista and Michael E. Ball of Jeffrey and Billy Dean and Crystal Ball of Teays Valley; sisters, Sharon Ball Vickers/Vic and Lucetta Ferrell; grandchildren, Skylar Eldridge, Schaefer Scott Ball, Jaedyn A. Ball and Kendal Evon Ball; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with the Rev. Ralph Donald Kerns Jr., the Rev. Jack Kinder and the Rev. Edsel Aleshire officiating. Terry's final resting place will follow in Memory Gardens at Low Gap, Madison, WV. Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
