THELMA SEBRING PANEC Thelma Irene Sebring, daughter of Mary and William Sebring, was born Sept. 5, 1899, at Falls City and passed away at the Humboldt hospital July 13, 1956, at the age of 56 years, 10 months and eight days. She came with her parents to DuBois in 1912 and here finished her education going on to Peru State Teachers College. She taught school in Wyoming a number of years and while there attended the University of Wyoming. She was united in marriage to Albert Panec on August 2, 1933, and to this union three children were born: Albert Eldon of Key West, Fla.; Kenneth of Beatrice and William of DuBois. At an early age she confessed her faith in the Lord Jesus and united with the United Brethren church in March 1913. She ws a faithful worker in the church and raised her children to follow her faith in the Lord. For three years she has taught East Star in Pawnee county and though in failing health she continued her teaching until April 25 when she entered the Humboldt hospital. She leaves to mourn her departure, her husband and three sons; three brothers, Jay of Seattle, Wash., Clifford of Norfolk, Va., and Cecil of DuBois; one foster sister, Mrs. Loren Myrick of Calif.; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held July 18, at 2 p.m. at the Evangelical United Brethren church in DuBois with Rev. Duane Lenz officiating and Rev. P. F. Schroeder assisting. Interment was in the DuBois Cemetery, DuBois, Nebraska. (Pawnee Republican, Pawnee City, NE.)
