Description	:	PILOT MOUNTAIN, NC ~ Mr. Theodore Franklin Turpin, 87, of Pilot Mountain passed away Friday, Oct. 22, 2004, at Northern Surry Hospital. He was born May 10, 1917, in Stokes County to Benjamin Aaron Turpin and Edna Eunice Vaughn Turpin. He was retired from Quality Drywall Co. in King. He was a well driller for 29 years, and a member of Pinnacle View Baptist Church. Mr. Turpin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Julia Hall Turpin; two brothers; and a sister. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas Franklin and Carolyn Turpin of Pinnacle; two grandchildren, Tracy Turpin and Jeffrey Turpin; a brother, Everette Turpin of Kernersville; a special caregiver, Catherine Green; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 25, at Pinnacle View Baptist Church, with the Rev. Ronnie Chamblin and the Rev. Mitchell Pruitt officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today, Oct. 24, at Cox-Needham Funeral Home and at other times at the home of Thomas and Carolyn Turpin, 1655 Old Winston Road, Pinnacle.
