Ted was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was a 1972 graduate of Cleveland Benedictine High School. He worked as a general Contractor at A&W Construction in Cleveland, and also worked at American Spring Wire in Bedford, Ohio. Read More	Theodore Mark "Ted" Ahrens, age 65, of Malta, Ohio, passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 1, 2020 at his home surrounded by his furry friends. Ted was born in Cleveland, Ohio and was a 1972 graduate of Cleveland Benedictine High School. He worked as a general Contractor at A&W Construction in Cleveland, and also worked at American Spring Wire in Bedford, Ohio. Ted was the Co-Owner and Founder of Jeta Services and Jeta Timber Services for 15 years, working in the logging industry helping to preserve forests for generations to come. Ted was also self-employed as a General Contractor until an automobile accident forced him into early retirement. He had a lifelong interest in nature and wild animals, and loved caring for injured, sick and orphaned animals. Ted also operated a working farm for over 10 years, was an avid home gardener, and proudly supported Cleveland sports teams. Ted was the youngest of four children, was a devoted son, and had a very close relationship with his mom and dad. A noticeably selfless individual, Ted received a great deal of satisfaction helping other people, even when it required his own personal sacrifices. Nowhere was this more self-evident than in his relationship with all of his family. He was the brother that you could count on when you needed help. Ted was preceded in death by his parents, Earl B. and Eva Jean (nee Ospeck) Ahrens. He is survived by his brother Michael E. "Mike" Ahrens (Cindy) of North Royalton, Ohio, his sister Elizabeth A. "Liza" Avellino of Kent, Ohio, his brother Robert L. "Bob" Ahrens (Bonnie) of Burton, Ohio, his former wife Eleanor Ahrens of Lodi, Ohio, and many nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Ted's Life with Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at 10:00am at St. Albert The Great Church, 6667 Wallings Road, North Royalton, Ohio 44133. Private interment will be held at Grandview Cemetery in Salem, Ohio. Cremation by Busch Crematory. Memorial contributions in Ted's name may be forwarded to www.morganspot.org/info/donate.
