The case, among the most pitiable that has come to the attention of authorities in some time, was revealed yesterday when Henry Kassmeier, 50-year-old tenant farmer near Fort Benton, arrived. Suffering from an incurable disease since childhood, Theresa Kassmeier, 23-year-old Fort Benton girl, was brought here Saturday for medical attention. Yesterday she died. Borrowing enough money for train fare, the father arrived here yesterday with a few cents in his pocket. Tired, hungry and worn, he was taken to the mortuary where his daughter's body lay. From the undertaker it was learned that he planned on telegraphing friends in Fort Benton for funds for transfer home. Once there, he planned on selling a cow, a team of horses, farm implements, anything, only that he might have his daughter buried near the family home. An aged mother and several brothers and sisters also survive.
