Description	:	“THERESA HUNGATE – Theresa Neidiger, daughter of Adolph and Sarah Neidiger, was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on December 15, 1867 and departed this life at her home in Cimarron, Kansas on March 8, 1950 at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 23 days. Read More	“THERESA HUNGATE – Theresa Neidiger, daughter of Adolph and Sarah Neidiger, was born in Waterloo, Iowa, on December 15, 1867 and departed this life at her home in Cimarron, Kansas on March 8, 1950 at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 23 days. When 16 years of age she moved with her parents to Gray County. On April 12, 1885 she was united in marriage with David Baker Hungate who preceeded her in death on December 30, 1929. To this union were born three children, Ada M. Lupton and William Frank Hungate of Cimarron, and Irene English of Denver, Colorado. Mr. and Mrs. Hungate lived on a cattle ranch south of Ingalls until 1902, when they moved to Cimarron. In 1907 they went into the grocery business, where she assisted him for a number of years. Theresa Hungate was an active interested member of the Methodist Church and taught a Sunday School class for more than 60 years. She was also interested in club activities and lodge work. She had been a member of the Royal Neighbors since 1905, and had served as their Recorder for about 35 years. Mrs. Hungate was active until a few weeks ago when she became ill with the flu. She was sincerely devoted to her family and home. In addition to her children she is survived by two brothers, Otto and Thomas Neidiger of Denver, Colorado, three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. The community has lost one of its active pioneer members. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church at 2:00 P.M. Friday March 10, 1950, with Rev. M.E. Hickman officiating.
