Ward died in a Hospital in Baltimore yesterday, Thursday afternoon, where he had been a patient for several days. He was 65 years of age. He had been confined to his home here for some time and his condi- tion becoming critical last week, he was carried to the hospital for treat- ment. He was the son of the late Au- gustus and Mary Wesley Lawson Ward, members of pioneer families of tht county, and a brother of the late Charles T. Ward, at one time Mayor of Crisfield. Born in Crisfield Sept. 16th, 1880, in his early life he engaged in the seafood business. Later, with his brothers Harry and Gus Ward, he owned and operated a hotel on Staten Island. Some years ago he came back to Crisfie14 and has been making his home with his sister, Mrs. Irene Ward Atkinson, on Maryland Ave. Tom was a very likeable chap who had friends in every walk of life. He was of a jovial disposition, good company, and always ready to give his time and aid to anyone in distress. News of his death was received with sincere sorrow by his wide circle of friends. Funeral services will he held in the Bradshaw Funera11 Parlors this Sunday afternoon at 2.00 o'clock, con- ducted by Dr. Melvin E. Wheatley. interment will be in Sunnyridge Memorial Park. Bearers, are to be Clarence Landon, M. Brevoort Thawley, Raymond Gar- rison, Clarence Todd, Wells Todd, and Eddie Todd. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Evans and Mrs. Irene Ward Atkinson and one brother, Robert Ward, all of this city
