He had been in failing health for a considerable time. Mr Ellison was born at Cobourg, Ontario, October 14 1863. He gre to manhood and married there, and in 1899 fell to the lure of the west and came to Alberta, settling in Okotoks for three years before coming on down to Claresholm and taking up land in the foothills near the "44: ranch gate, which he subsequently developed into a very successful farm and ranch. Mrs Ellison died in 1928 (sic 1938) There are three surviving children: Mrs Robt Downie Mrs Foy Nowlin Mrs Jack Kirkland all residing at Claresholm. One son died but when 13 months old. He is also survived by two brothers in Ontario, one brother in Weyburn, Sask, one sister at Trewdale, Sask and two sisters at Brantford, Ont.
