Description	:	Drowned Mr. R.T. Cottingham, of Bolinas, informs us that on Wednesday of last week a lad of about 14 years of age, named Tommy Hoyle, the son of a widow lady residing in that vicinity met with his death by drowning under the following circumstances; It appears that he left the ease side of the Bay in a skiff and proceeded to go to Bolinas Point, but the side carried him out to sea, where the skiff was swamped and its occupant drowned. Published Marin Journal March 16, 1872 Boy Drowned Our correspondent writes from Bolinas as follows: A boy named Thomas Hoyle, while attempting to cross the bay in a small skiff, on the 6th inst., was accidentally drowned. His body was recovered near the bluff on the following day. He was a native of Pennsylvania. An inquest was held by the Justice of the Peace, and a verdict rendered in accordance with the facts stated. Published Daily Alta California March 17, 1872
