Died March 18, 1907, at 3:10 a.m., age 76 years, 11 months, 6 days. He was married to Elsie A. Cool, June 13, 1852, near McConnelsville, Morgan Co., Ohio, by Rev. Thrapp. Eight children were born to this union, Sarah A. Kapple, Margaret E. Barnum, John H. Brown, William O. Brown, Mary E. Harper, Annie M. Brassfield, Robert C. Brown, and Charles E. Brown. Brown was born April 24, 1830, near New Athens, Harrison Co., Ohio. Died March 18, 1907, at 3:10 a.m., age 76 years, 11 months, 6 days. He was married to Elsie A. Cool, June 13, 1852, near McConnelsville, Morgan Co., Ohio, by Rev. Thrapp. Eight children were born to this union, Sarah A. Kapple, Margaret E. Barnum, John H. Brown, William O. Brown, Mary E. Harper, Annie M. Brassfield, Robert C. Brown, and Charles E. Brown. His wife, seven children, and nineteen grandchildren survive him. One son, William O. Brown, died in infancy. Mr. Brown moved from the home of his boyhood, with his family in 1864 to Marietta, Marshall Co., Iowa, then to Ohio near Zanesville, and in 1878 to his late home near Glasco. His children were all present at the funeral except John H. Brown of Zanesville, Ohio, and Robert C. Brown of Evanston, Ill. He is the last member of his father's family of twenty-two children, his father having been married three times. He became a member of the I.O.O.F. at Cadiz, Ohio, over fifty years ago, and joined the Methodist Episcopal church early in life and lived a consistent christian ever since. He was loved and esteemed by the M.E. church at Glasco, where he has been a member for a number of years. In the absence of the pastor, funeral services were conducted by Rev. J.W. Bates, of Solomon, Kansas, March 19, at 2 p.m.
