Description	:	Mr Thomas L. Harris, 80 of rural New Market died at his home Monday afternoon. He was born March 2, 1903 near Gravity, the son of Walter and Sarah Ann Eggers Harris. His family moved to his present home south of New Market when he was 15 years old and he spent the rest of his life on that farm. On Jan 1, 1925 he married Vera Cavender who died in 1964. Harris, 80 of rural New Market died at his home Monday afternoon. He was born March 2, 1903 near Gravity, the son of Walter and Sarah Ann Eggers Harris. His family moved to his present home south of New Market when he was 15 years old and he spent the rest of his life on that farm. On Jan 1, 1925 he married Vera Cavender who died in 1964. On Dec 23, 1979 he married Naomi Gant who survives. He is also survived by a daughter, Mrs Phil (Janice) Hardee of rural Clarinda, four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Step-children are Roger Gant of rural Bedford, Mrs David (Karolyn) Hughes of rural Clarinda and Mrs Clark (Lorene) Davison of Loveland, Co, and six step grandchildren. Funeral services were held this Thursday morning at the New Market Church of Christ with Loren Daly and Jon Palmquist officiating.
