Miller, near Rutledge, Missouri July 5th, 1922, aged 90 years, 11 months and 5 days When a young man he came with his widowed mother to Scotland County, Missouri, where he had lived since. To this union were born six children. John R., Cynthia A., James M., E. Icy, Thomas C., and Mollie. Those who survive him are James M., Thomas C., and Mollie Cunningham, and 16 grand-children. He was also a Civil War veteran. He was a loving husband and father and will be missed greatly by all. The funeral was held from the Prairie View Church conducted by Rev. S. B. Leatherman, his pastor, and attend by a great concourse of friends and neighbors. Interment in the Prairie View cemetery. From the "Democrat" for July 13, 1922, page 4, column 2.
