WOLFE Dies at his Home on Kilbourne Street Tuesday Morning - Funeral Will be Held Saturday Afternoon After a brief illness, Thomas M Wolfe, a retired farmer and highly respected citizen, died at his home on Kilbourne st. at 4:30 am Tuesday, aged 53 years, 4 months and 22 days. Mr Wolfe was sick only a week and death was due to pneumonia. The family is sadly afflicted, as Mrs Julia Ann Royer, mother-in-law of Mr Wolfe, died only a few days ago, and Mrs Wolfe is quite ill, suffering from dropsy. Mr Wolfe was born in Center county, PA., Nov 6, 1857. He was the son of Daniel and Fayetta Wolfe, and came to Ohio when a young man, locating on a farm in Thompson township where he was married to Miss Amanda Royer, Jan 12, 1877. They located on a farm near Fireside where they continued to live until a year ago last fall, when they moved to Bellevue. There was born to this union two sons and three daughters. One son and two daughters preceded the father to the other world. Two daughters, one six and the other 12, died only 11 days apart, of diptheria, 16 years ago. He is survived by the widow, one son, Charles W Wolfe, of Columbus, and daughter, Mary Edna, at home; also one grandchild, one brother, C W Wolfe, of Coburn, Pa., and one sister, Mrs Howard Miller, of Pittsburg, Pa. Mr Wolfe was baptized in infancy by a Lutheran pastor. He united with the Reformed church at Fireside, later transferring his membership to St Paul's Reformed church. Mr Wolfe was a model husband and father, a faithful christian, good neighbor, a model citizen who enjoyed the confidence and respect of all who knew him. His influence was good, and he will be remembered kindly and lovingly in many hearts. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon. Services for family and relatives only will be held at the house at one o'clock by Rev J B Shumaker. Public services will be held at the Reformed church at two o'clock by Rev D W Loucks. Interment in Bellevue cemetery.
