Tracy James Purrington was born at Beemer, Nebr., March 20, 1890, the fourth child of Alanzo C. and Julia Ann Purrington. He spent his early life in Nebraska and was educated in the rural schools of Cuming County. He was united in marriage to Iona Snider on September 25, 1919. Four children were born to this union. They made their home in Beemer until the spring of 1934 when the family moved to a farm south of St. Lawrence. He lived there until he died suddenly on Sunday evening, April 12 at the age of 63 years and 30 days. Farming was his life's occupation. He was a member of the Methodist church in Beemer.
