Mrs. Henderson was born Velma Lorene Mendenhall on April 26, 1922, at Concordia and was a lifelong resident. She was an Avon sales representative for several years and worked for the Cooperative Service Association. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, and Women of the Moose. Her first husband, Roman Otott, died in 1957. Mrs. Henderson was born Velma Lorene Mendenhall on April 26, 1922, at Concordia and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, and Women of the Moose. Her first husband, Roman Otott, died in 1957. Survivors include her husband, Simon Henderson of the home; a son, Bill Otott of Marietta, Ga.; three daughters, Jean Snow of Marysville, Joyce Henry of Lakeside, Calif., and Dorothy Hamilton of Concordia; a sister, Vivian Marchaud of Gothenberg, Neb.; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Concordia, the Rev. John Lahey officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Clyde. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Care Home, Concordia. A vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, Concordia. Visitation will be after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
