Description	:	Vera M. Williams Vera M. Williams, 83, of Miller, S.D., died Sunday, April 15, 2001 at Huron Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Reck Funeral Home in Miller with the Rev. Brian Jones officiating. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery, Miller. Vera Martha Jane Nicholas was born August 22, 1917 on a farm near Miller to Raleigh and Dollie (Walton) Nicholas. She married Francis Williams August 4, 1945 at Shakespeare Gardens in Wessington Springs. They lived on a farm in Florence Township in Hand County where Francis taught in rural schools.... Vera Martha Jane Nicholas was born August 22, 1917 on a farm near Miller to Raleigh and Dollie (Walton) Nicholas. She married Francis Williams August 4, 1945 at Shakespeare Gardens in Wessington Springs. They lived on a farm in Florence Township in Hand County where Francis taught in rural schools. Then they moved to Hitchcock and later to Wessington Springs where Francis taught school until his retirement. Following retirement, they moved to Miller and in 1991 became residents at Prairie Good Samaritan Center. Survivors include four sisters, Ruth (Elwood) Capelle of Poenix, Ariz., Marjorie (Walt) Balliet of Rapid City, Mavis Couture of Mobridge and Donna (Jim) Spiry of Glenham; two brothers, Glen( Susie) Nicholas of Blunt and Roger (Erla) Nicholas of Miller; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Francis I 1991 and brothers, Roy, Lloyd and Clarence Nicholas.
