VERNA PRUSS ZARUBA PASSES AWAY The death of Mrs. Verna Zaruba took place at the home of her daughter Mrs. Cornell Brown last Friday, October 30, 1931, aged fifty-six years. While yet a child of four years she came to American with her parents, who located on a farm near Ashton, Nebraska, where she lived until she was nineteen years of age at which time she was married to Martin Zaruba. To this union four children were born--three sons and one daughter, all of whom survive her. They are: Albert Zaruba, of Los Angeles, California: Joseph Zaruba of Natick, Massachusetts, Mrs. C. H. Brown of Loup City and Henry Zaruba of Loup City. Her husband preceded her in death three years ago, and since that time she has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Brown. Her health began to fail some fourteen years ago, but until the death of her husband, she was not confined to the house. She was a patient, hopeful sufferer, and with all her many afflictions one of which was total blindness for the past year, she remained cheerful and sought to see the brighter side of her darkest clouds.
