Description	:	Victor Siemers, age 77 of Lake San Marcos, CA, died January 13, 1990, at a La Jolla, CA, hospital. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, June 19, 1990, at 2:00 p.m., at the United Methodist Church of Bowbells. Interment of the ashes will follow in the Bowbells Cemetery. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Ken Schock. Soloist will be Grace Melby. The organist will be Murial Johnson. Victor was born on August 14, 1912, a son of Ferdinand and Louise (Redmer) Siemers. Victor was born on the homestead and grew up on the family farm outside of Bowbells. He attended school at Bowbells and graduated from Bowbells High School. Victor was married to Lula Mae Fudge at Long Beach, CA, on May 16, 1937. They resided at Long Beach until 1943, at which time they returned to Bowbells to engage in farming. Later they owned the Bowbells Drug and Sandries store. In 1961 they relocated in northern California. Upon retirement, Victor and Lula moved to Lake San Marcos, CA. Victor was mayor of Bowbells for two terms. He also belonged to the Commercial Club, PTA, Lions Club, and was a Past Master of the Bowbells Masonic Lodge. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, and was active in community work, and was a member of the Bowbells City Band. Survivors include his wife, Lula, San Marcos, CA; daughter, Sharon Mills, Salinas, CA; son, Steven, Del Mar, CA; and a step-son, Jack, of Escondido, CA; four grandchildren: Cameron, Stacey, Kimberly, and Ryan Sheeler; one great-grandson, Timothy Sheeler; sisters, Elsie Koch, Bowbells, and I Helen Durick, Columbus; brothers Ray and Harry both of Bowbells, and Bill, of Long Beach, CA. Victor was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Luella Green, and a brother, Ed Siemers. From the Kenmare News.
